 Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Award Committee has unanimously selected IPA Karnataka State Branch for the ‘Special Achievement Award’ for the year 2025.
The communication note from Dr. Subhash Mandal, National hon. gen. secretary, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, addressed to Dr M. Khalid Ahmed Khan, president, IPA Karnataka State Branch and deputy drugs controller, Karnataka Drugs Control department, said, “We congratulate you and your team for your excellent performance of the branch and the contributions in supporting the objectives of the association. We are sure Karnataka State Branch will continue to maintain high level of standards in its activities and contributions to the profession of Pharmacy.”
The award is in recognition for the commendable work by the IPC Karnataka State Branch and will be conferred during IPA Awards’ & Fellowship Dinner function during 74th IPC at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre(BIEC) where the 3-day exposition will be held from December 19-21, 2025, said Dr Mandal in his note.
During the period 2021-2025, the IPA Karnataka State Branch president was Dr Premnath Shenoy and Secretary was Dr M. Khalid Ahmed Khan who was elected to take on the mantle as president early this year and continues right through 2021-26.
Speaking to Pharmabiz, Dr Khan attributes this success to the entire team of 24-25 with Dr Narsimha Reddy as vice president, Dr Ramesh as treasurer and Dr Manjunath as joint secretary and other executive committee members who worked very hard in conducting various conferences and workshops for the benefit of industry as well as academia.
Besides a number of workshops for the benefit of community pharmacists were also organised. The present team too, is equally or more enthusiastic to perform in achieving professional goals and objectives, added Dr Khan.
