The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) of Haryana has officially relocated its state headquarters, marking a significant transition for the regulatory body. The Office of the Commissioner, FDA, which was previously operating from its long-standing location in the Sector 5 area, has now shifted its base of operations to a more modern facility. This relocation is part of a broader effort to centralize and modernize the administrative infrastructure of the department. State Drug Controller (SDC) Lalit Kumar Goel officially announced the change, specifying that the new office is located at Plot Number IP-17, Sector-3, in Panchkula, Haryana. The shift to the ‘FDA Bhavan’ in the Industrial Plot (IP) zone is expected to provide the department with better resources to manage the growing pharmaceutical and food processing sectors in the state. Officials have confirmed that the new premises are now fully operational for all administrative tasks. In light of this change, all stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, laboratory owners, and food business operators, are hereby informed that the Sector 5 office is no longer the point of contact. All physical applications, legal documents, and official correspondence must now be directed to the Sector 3 address. The department has emphasized that maintaining the flow of documentation is crucial to avoid any processing delays during this transition period. The SDC has also requested that all visitors and representatives who have scheduled meetings or personal hearings report directly to the new Plot No. IP-17 complex. This move is intended to streamline the query-related requests that the department handles daily. By consolidating these services under one roof at the new site, the FDA aims to improve the efficiency of its grievance redressal and licensing systems, Lalit Kumar told Pharmabiz. This relocation comes at a pivotal time for FDA Haryana, as the department continues to enforce strict compliance with quality standards across the state. Under the leadership of Lalit Kumar Goel, the FDA has been proactive in implementing updated regulatory norms and digital tracking for drug manufacturing. The new headquarters will serve as the primary hub for these enforcement activities, ensuring that Haryana remains a leader in pharmaceutical safety and quality. Public and private entities are encouraged to update their records immediately to reflect the new address in Sector 3, Panchkula. The FDA has assured that while the physical location has changed, the digital portals and online application processes remain unaffected. As the department settles into its new home, it remains committed to its mission of safeguarding public health through rigorous monitoring of food and medicinal products.
